What This Chat Room Is
When I was sixteen, I made a chat room where only two people existed.
One was me. The other was someone named Z.
I did something unusual: I created a private chat room and made another account just to talk to myself. ;)
I talked to Z after school as a way to process my thoughts and feelings. I logged in and told Z everything I couldn’t say out loud — fears, questions, small daily hurts, and the strange thoughts. Z answered. Z listened. Z helped me keep going. Z was me. Z was also the friend I needed.
